At Coway, we provide systemic training programs to advance our sales partners’ expertise and support their sales activities. In particular, training and mentoring programs for new Codys have been organized and while providing on-site sales support for our sales and service partners including Codys, CS Doctors, and HP/GHP.
The Entry-Level Training program is designed to advance their expertise and boost confidence by helping them gain basic knowledge of their job through technical and service training. In the technical training sessions, they learn about our products and practice Heart Service while improving their competency as a Cody through customer communication and basic sales training as part of the service training sessions.
The purpose of Intensive New Cody Training program is to help our new Codys (with 0-3 months of experience) adapt to their new jobs. Professional instructors from 18 training centers nationwide provide intensive training sessions to improve their expertise in products, standard service and sales process.
In order to help our Codys adapt to the work process, we organized a mentoring system where new Codys are paired with senior ones on a one-on-one basis for two months. Through this, the new Codys are able to gain necessary experience and know-how in sales and service to improve their performance.
For Codys with more than 4 months of experience, we offer Intensive On-site Training program which covers new products and smartphone applications and in-depth training on the areas of their weakness such as common/regional training and video training sessions on specific themes.
At Coway, we provide service toolbags for Codys to help improve their productivity and promote their professionalism. The toolbag is designed based on the items needed for servicing and the input provided by Codys. It has built-in compartments that separate items by type and size and wheels for easy carriage. The Cody Service Toolbag was recognized for its excellence in design and won Silver in IDEA 2017 (International Design Excellence Awards 2017), one of the most prestigious design competitions.
As part of our efforts to enhance the expertise and service quality of Codys, we help them acquire the certification for Water Sommelier. In 2017, 11 Codys were certified as Water Sommeliers through the C-Water Sommelier training program organized by the Korea International Sommelier Association. The Water Sommelier is a certification that qualifies our Codys to provide information on how to stay healthy by drinking water, maintain a good balance between food and water, and use water in life. We are going to further strengthen our corporate identity as a leading water company and increase the C-Water Sommelier training program to improve the competitive advantages of our on-site support and service.
In order to support sales activities of “Blue Bird”, a sales professional organization consisting of young sales force, we provided electric wheels called “Blue Bird Car” in 2017, along with helmets, protective gear and smart mask for safety. Established in 2010 to create jobs for youth and increase our customer base, Blue Bird has become an important part of our sales organization now. With the Blue Bird Card support, it is expected to improve their work efficiency and help them work smart by reducing travel time and increasing sales consultation.
Business Case
In 2017, we introduced the “Cody Service Certification System” to standardize our evaluation on Codys’ service and provide qualifications and rewards based on the results. In 2018, we changed the reward and operation plan to encourage participation in the system.
