As part of our employee donation program known as “Hanppyum Sharing” established in 2013, we have been building the culture of sharing under the slogan of “sharing small things to help our neighbors and spread love in our daily life”. As our employees donate KRW 1,000 each month to the cause of their choice such as helping abandoned children, supporting drinking water in Cambodia, and building schools in Africa, the company matches the grants to support their cause.
“Hanppyum Love” is our employee volunteer project through which we volunteer to help people in need through donation of talent. All our employees and Codys participate in this project. In 2017, the Home Care offices formed partnership with nationwide welfare organizations to provide clean indoor environment and improve the quality of life for people in need.
Our sales organization “Blue Bird” also join in this cause. They visit local children's centers for low-income families and help renovate the facilities while donating water and air purifiers, and humidifiers to create more pleasant and healthier environment for the children.
Business Case
With KRW 70 million we raised through “Hanppyum Sharing”, we built “Coway Katsumwa FP School” in Katsumwa, Malawi which is one of the poorest regions in Africa.
Completed in February, 2017, “Coway Katsumwa FP School” is the second school we helped build in Africa after Mabwepande Tumainni Women’s High School completed in 2014. In addition to building the school building, we donated desks and chairs and are helping to make sure that the school is managed properly.
